Trip Introduction;
Annapurna Circuit is well known for being one of the best and complete treks in the world. For more than 30 years the Annapurna region has been one of Nepal’s premier trekking destinations. Recent construction of two roads: one to Manang from Besisahar and other to Muktinath and Lo Manthang from Beni has somehow contributed to produce other fresh perspectives, adventure related activities such as Mountain Biking Trips. We are implying about Mountain Biking in the harsh trails that goes along the world’s deepest gorge – Kali Gandaki Valley in between the two 8000 meters – Mt. Annapurna I and Mt. Dhaulagiri.

The adventurous mountain biking in higher altitudes can be very tiring. Hence, riding slow as we head towards the crossing of challenging Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters with almost four hours of carrying and pushing of the ride to the top of the pass surely offers immense challenges for mountain bikers. Above all, from the top of the pass our ride is mostly downhill which is considered as the best ‘mountain-bike-fix’ giving the maximum level of biking adventure. Annapurna Circuit Biking Trip with Nepal Guide Treks and Expeditions truly offers a lifetime experience for keen mountain bikers while riding along the high traverses into the snow covered mountains, crossing the challenging Throng La Pass at 5416 meters and ride with great views of mountains within Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan Ranges.

Annapurna Circuit Biking Trip with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition starts at Kathmandu. At Kathmandu, we will spend a full day cycling around some of the best trails in Kathmandu exploring and experiencing the daily lives of people living within Kathmandu valley. From Kathmandu, we will take a drive towards Besisahar – the starting point of our biking trip. We will ride over the rough jeep track for few kilometers to arrive at Jagat. From Jagat, we will ride over the jeep track for few kilometers and then its mostly pushing and carrying of the bike over steep rocky trail before descending to the village of Tal. From there we will make a challenging climb through dense forest with fascinating scenery towards Chame. From Chame our trail widens back into jeep track as we ride with great views of Himalayas and head towards Manang.

Acclimatization is very crucial in higher altitudes to avoid mental and physical illness. At Manang we will take a day’s rest for acclimatization and exploration around Manang. Peddling in higher altitudes can be very tiring, so we will ride slow with magnificent views of surrounding mountains. We make a steep climb to reach the top of Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters. After about four hours of carrying and pushing, we head to the top of the pass. From the top of the pass, we descend vigorously towards Muktinath and then to the medieval village of Kagbeni. From Kagbeni we continue to ride downhill leaving the high altitudes and enter into the tropical lowlands while riding through Jomsom and Marpha to finally arrive at Beni. Our adventurous and thrill-filled Annapurna Circuit Biking Trip with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition ends with a drive from Beni to Pokhara and another drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu.
