Trip Introduction;
Mt. Kanjirowa is located in the Far North West Himalayan region of Nepal. Kanjirowa is one of the beautiful mountains in Dolpo region that creates an impressive wall between Nepal – Tibet border. Our Kanjirowa Expedition package trip combines an awesome trekking journey towards Dolpo and Shey Phoksundo Lake. An excellent trekking through off the beaten trail allows us to experience the traditional Tibetan culture (ancient Buddhist and Bon religion) as well as explore Nepal’s largest Shey Phoksundo National Park where several endangered wild animals (Musk Deer, Himalayan Blue Sheep and the exclusive Snow Leopard) make their home. One of the featured highlights of the trip includes exploration around the freshwater lake – Shey Phoksundo.

Kanjirowa Expedition with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition Team starts with flights from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj then to Juphal. After landing at the airstrip of Juphal, we begin our trek through isolated region with dramatic landscapes, sub-tropical and low alpine forests, religious and cultural charming villages until we reach the Base Camp. During our trek, we are most likely to encounter several endangered species of wildlife. Moreover, we will also experience the authentic culture of warm, welcoming and hospitable natives.

From Kanjirowa Base Camp, we ascend gradually by making numerous numbers of high camps and by taking plenty of time for safe acclimatization. At first, we follow non-technical trail often climbing through snow paved walls. Then our climb becomes more technical and challenging as we head towards the summit of Kanjirowa Peak 6,883m. After the successful summit climb, we descend safely back to base camp then trek back to Juphal. Our memorable trip of Kanjirowa Expedition ends with a connecting flight from Juphal to Nepalgunj then to Kathmandu.
