Trip Introduction;
Kwangde Peak is an impressive peak that rises high above the Bhote Khosi river in the Everest region of Nepal. Kwangde Peak is a very difficult and challenging peak that consists of several technical sections. The peak was first ascended by a Japanese expedition team in November 11, 1978. Kwangde peak forms an impressive multi-summit ridge at the eastern end of Lumding Himal which in turn can be regarded as a part of Rolwaling Himal. Kwangde Peak is a technically challenging and difficult peak of Everest region which is recommended only for climbers with previous climbing experience. Kwangde Peak Climbing offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking an ultimate excitement as well as thrilling adventure on rarely climbed and challenging trekking peaks of Nepal.

Kwangde Peak Climbing with Nepal Guide Treks starts at Kathmandu. After spending a full day sightseeing around Kathmandu, we will take a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to the airstrip of Lukla – the gateway to Khumbu and entire Everest region. From Lukla we will start our trek on a trail that passes through several villages inhabited mainly by Sherpa communities. Our trek goes along dense forest filled with rhododendron and pine trees towards Namche Bazaar – The Sherpa Capital. After spending a good day acclimatization at Namche Bazaar we will follow the trail that passes through Thame and head towards Kwangde Base Camp. We will set up one more camp at the high camp before heading towards the actual summit.

Properly acclimatized and fully equipped with all the necessary climbing gears we will follow the footsteps and guidance of our experienced climbing experts in order to overcome the challenges and technical sections. Once at the top we are rewarded with great views of world’s towering mountains including Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and the Rolwaling Himalayan Ranges. After spending quality time at the summit, we will descend to reach the base camp. From the base camp we will follow the trail that passes through Phakding to arrive at Lukla.
